Work has started on the ten million dollar face lift for the famous Dome of the Rock Mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The dome of the 1,300 year old structure will be gilded with almost 100 kilograms of pure gold to replace the present anodized aluminum gold painted dome. At the same time there will extensive structural repairs to the building and dome.
