Israeli use of AM General vehicles[edit | edit source]

AM General's "High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle" (HMMWV or Humvee) has been used by the Israeli military in its war on Gaza. The armor for these vehicles is made separately by Plasan. AM General, alongside Oshkosh, makes the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle used by Israel and many western countries.

On November 5, 2023 the Israeli military reportedly used AM General's HMMWV Humvees to lead a "supply convoy" of tanks and other armored vehicles into Gaza.[1] Humvees were again used by the Israeli military on November 8 to transport Israeli media correspondents into Gaza.[2]

On December 6, 2023, the Israeli Ministry of Defense shared pictures of a United States cargo plane delivering additional Humvees to Israel to support its war effort in Gaza.[3]
