During the 2023 Israel War on Gaza, there was a severe uptick in the number of Israeli officials making statements conveying genocidal intent:

  • October 9, 2023: Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant gave a press conference saying I have ordered a complete siege on the Gaza Strip. There will be no electricity, no food, no fuel, everything is closed. We are fighting human animals and we are acting accordingly.[4] Video available.
  • October 10, 2023: Israel Defense Minister Yoav Gallant recorded speaking to IDF forces, saying Gaza won't return to what it was before. We will eliminate everything.
